This week’s Raw was a banger episode from Chicago. Cody Rhodes started the proceedings and addressed the happenings around him. He went on to ask for the support of the fans in the All State Arena while vowing to bring down The Rock and Roman Reigns. It was all cool until The People’s Champion, surprisingly, showed up on Raw. He did nothing except whisper a few words to Rhodes.
The Great One made his entrance to the ring while giving a cold star to Cody Rhodes. However, the highlight was when he didn’t even touch the mic. The Brahma Bull went close to the Royal Rumble winner and whispered a few words to him. Some fans believe that it was a subtle tease about the beating Cody received in the closing moments of Raw. Besides, some speculation even says that the People’s Champion has teased him about turning against The Bloodline at WrestleMania.
This moment left the fans confused, including the 38-year-old Superstar himself. Rhodes had an unsettled look as The Rock, who was walking out of the ring, oozing with confidence. The Final Boss was advertised for next week’s episode of Raw. However, he decided to show up this week, which makes things even more interesting with the ongoing feud now.
Moreover, fans wondered what the actual motive was behind his appearing unannounced on tonight’s show. It is highly likely that these might be some obnoxious plans and schemes of The Bloodline to distract the determined focus of the Royal Rumble winner ahead of the clash at WrestleMania.
Cody Rhodes broke a WWE rule while mentioning The Rock and Roman Reigns
Cody Rhodes has been vicious lately. He has been constantly using curse words to refer to the Rock and Roman Reigns in his promos. Although these promos are fire, they also break one major rule of WWE programming. The same happened this week as well, before The People’s Champion made his appearance on Raw.
The American Nightmare crossed the line when he called the possibility of a match between The Tribal Chief and The Hollywood star a ‘w*nk fest’. It was a non-PG word that WWE didn’t even censor during the live broadcast of Raw. Just after the Royal Rumble winner spoke those words, he was interrupted by The Great One on the spur of the moment.
It is unclear if Rhodes will face any consequences for such actions. However, fans have their eyes set on the reaction by WWE over this. Besides, WWE has been pushing boundaries to elevate their content, which involves coming out of the PG Era. After recent events such as The Rock dissing Cody’s mother and Rhea Ripley’s ‘Stink Face’ moment, it can be said that there is a new wave in WWE.
