Professional wrestling involves a lot of risk-taking. The wrestlers constantly subject their bodies to mind-numbing toil and always stand at risk of incurring life-threatening injuries. While big promotions like WWE have strict safety standards, many superstars tend to suffer injuries even there. One such name is R-Truth, who has been away from WWE television for a very long time.

However, in a recent exchange on ‘X’, the former 24/7 Champion revealed that he is ready to be back. Recently, one of the fans on X appreciated R-Truth regarding his latest music release. He returned the compliments and a conversation began. The fan couldn’t help but state how he missed Truth and asked him about his return. The WWE veteran gave a monosyllabic reply, “Yes”.

When fans think about R-Truth, they think of the comedic segments. After spending more than a decade in the company, Truth has had his highs and lows. From battling the greats like The Rock and John Cena and sharing the stage with Brock Lesnar to squash beefs, he has done it all.

Truth has entered an age bracket where most Superstars think about hanging their boots. Filled with comedic charisma and excellent in-ring shape, he still got it. It would be interesting to see where WWE would place him after his return. Now that the 24/7 Title is no more, fans could see him involved in any storyline.

Why is R-Truth on a hiatus?

R-Truth was sent to NXT in November 2022. The former 24/7 Champion was part of a series where main-roster wrestlers showed up to uplift the development talent on NXT. Truth suffered a terrible quad injury while he was in a match and was taken away. He later went through surgery and started on a long road to recovery.

While the quad tear was unexpected, the veteran wrestler is set for a comeback. Ringside News recently revealed that Truth got clearance for an in-ring return and can show up at any time. However, there isn’t any update about the creative ideas for him at this time.

R-Truth is one of those few superstars who remain very transparent with their fans. He occasionally answered their questions about his recovery and has even announced his return. With his age being a very questionable factor, Truth is still surprising the fans with his in-ring prowess. It will be interesting to see how WWE will arrange his upcoming run.
