Randy Orton‘s return to the Survivor Series has taken the WWE by storm. The show’s ratings got a huge boost, and most importantly, the fans are so happy to see The Viper back. Orton decided to sign with the Blue brand to take revenge on the Bloodline. However, in a moment of excitement, he RKOed the general manager of SmackDown, Nick Aldis. Now, he finally reacted to Nick’s comment after he received that vicious RKO.

After receiving the RKO from Orton at the end of the show, Nick took to Twitter and expressed how he felt about the caption. “It really is outta nowhere,” stating that he did not expect that RKO from Orton and even taking him by surprise. Now the 43-year-old reacted to Nick’s tweet with a snake emoji, stating ‘never trust The Viper’ in his iconic way.

Orton’s excitement-filled RKO could get him into trouble, as Nick made another comment in WWE’s official post saying, “Get your checkbook ready, Mr.Orton.” which means he may have to pay a huge fine. During the contract signing, Bloodline members Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa tried to attack Orton, but LA Knight rushed out and helped him fend them off.

Orton signed the contract and officially became a member of SmackDown. He openly challenged Roman Reigns and sent him a warning through Paul Heyman. It will be interesting to see when The Viper and The Tribal Chief come face-to-face in the future.

Randy Orton’s current WWE contract might get an extension

Randy Orton signed a five-year contract with WWE in 2019, so it was to expire sometime around the fall of 2024. But his 18-month absence due to his injury could affect his contract situation.

Reports from Fightful Select suggest that Orton’s contract might get extended for that amount of lost time. He was out with a back injury from May 2022 to November 2023. His ‘new’ deal would now expire in 2026 instead if WWE decides to add the time. This is not the first time that a superstar’s contract extended by the amount of time he is injured unless he is actively working in some other role.

One such incident happened most recently with Drew McIntyre, who was out with an injury for three months and was added to his current deal. Although there is still no confirmation about Orton’s contract, a higher-up told Fightful that they “expect this to happen.” When the Survivor Series was over, Orton signaled 10 with his hands to the fans, which means The Viper will strike for 10 more years.
