Randy Orton has been out of action for the past few months after a severe injury. The Viper teamed up with his friend, the Original Bro, Matt Riddle, to face the Usos. The match was to unify the Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Championships, which eventually RK-Bro lost.
After his injury, reports claimed that the former WWE Champion would be out of action for the rest of 2022. This concerned a lot of fans and the higher-ups in WWE as well. Recently, an update from Fightful Select has given fans a concerning update on Orton’s health.
Orton had gone through a successful surgery a few weeks ago. But even after surgery, as per reports, Orton is not expected to return any time soon. In addition to that, many in WWE are worried if the Viper will be able to return to WWE again after such an illustrious career.
In a picture added by his wife, Kim Orton, the former WWE Champion, was seen in the hospital. With no updates on why he was in the hospital, it is speculated that Orton was going through some medical procedures for his back injury.
WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle recently commented on Randy Orton’s injury
WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has gone through a lot of injuries throughout his career. Along with many other injuries, Angle had an injury similar to what Orton is suffering from. The legend, on the Kurt Angle Show, commented on how severe the injury was and if Randy Orton’s return was in doubt.
“Your back controls everything. You can’t do anything when your back is hurting. I’ll give you an example. Randy Orton just had surgery on his back. He literally couldn’t do anything, and this surgery is hopefully saving his career. But that’s how much back problems can affect you as a pro wrestler.”
With Orton’s return to WWE in doubt, it seems obvious we’ll not see the Viper in the ring again any time soon. But what is expected is a positive update from him or his family regarding his health. We at FirstSportz wish the Viper’s health improves and the former WWE Champion recovers from the major injury very soon.
