The latest Tribute to The Troops edition of Friday Night SmackDown was an enthralling night loaded with exciting matchups and segments. Not only did Randy Orton have a tag-team action on the blue brand, but he also had to pay an enormous fine to GM, Nick Aldis. Speaking of which, the superstar paid a massive 6-digit fine to Aldis while warning him of another RKO.
During the latest edition of SmackDown, Orton returned to action in the blue brand after 18 months. Before his anticipated tag team bout in the main event, the 43-year-old confronted Aldis. He asked the latter the reason for getting paired with LA Knight, someone he barely even knows. Moreover, he paid a hefty $100,000 to the blue brand’s general manager.
The Apex Predator was fined such a massive amount due to his unscrupulous action from last week. The superstar delivered a brutal RKO out of nowhere to SmackDown GM Nick Aldis. Following last week’s episode, the 37-year-old also informed the Viper to bring his checkbook this week, signaling a hefty penalty.
The former TNA Champion seemingly imposed a staggering $50,000 fine on Orton. However, the latter brought double the actual fine amount. When Aldis asked the 43-year-old why he was shelling out an extra amount, he stated it was for another RKO. The Viper implied that the SmackDown General Manager should brace himself for another unexpected RKO.
The makeshift team of Randy Orton and LA Knight pick a massive victory on SmackDown this week
The December 9 edition of Friday Night SmackDown saw the Viper, Randy Orton, return to in-ring action in the blue brand. Earlier this week, WWE announced that the Apex Predator would team up with the Megastar, LA Knight, against Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. The two teamed up after the latter rescued Orton from the beatdown of the Bloodline last week.
As a result, Orton and Knight were put together to tackle their common enemy. The said match took place in the main event of the Tribute to the Troops edition of SmackDown. Moreover, Orton and Jimmy started things off with the former stomping him to the corner. Knight tagged in a few moments later, and eventually Solo became legal.
The latter rained a flurry of blows on Sikoa. The Enforcer, however, rebuts with a belly-to-belly suplex. Furthermore, Orton sends Jimmy, crashing face first, to the announcer’s desk. Later, he attempted to deliver a DDT to Uso but Solo intercepted him. Knight entered the fray to dole out a DDT of his own to the latter. As the Megastar looked to hit a BFT on Jimmy, the Viper beat him to it and delivered an RKO for the win.
