Raw superstar Raquel Rodriguez has had her fair share of success on the main roster. She will be a part of a fatal five-way match at Crown Jewel for Rhea Ripley’s women’s world championship. In addition to being a singles star, Rodriguez also showed interest in joining the Latino World Order over at SmackDown.
While speaking to The Dallas Morning News, Rodriguez revealed that she has a special family-like bond with each member of the LWO. Additionally, there have been multiple talks about getting her to join LWO, but it never came to fruition.
Trust me, there have been many thoughts of Raquel Rodriguez in the LWO. I would love to be a part of the LWO. Everyone who’s in the LWO at the moment are family to me…. I’m already part of that family. In a sense, I do feel like I’m part of the LWO, it just hasn’t been made official yet.Raquel Rodriguez via The Dallas Morning News
Currently, the group consists of Rey Mysterio, Carlito, and Legado Del Fantasma. Since reforming the old WCW faction, Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar have primarily represented the group in tag team matches. Additionally, Carlito returned to WWE at Backlash and later at Fastlane to help Mysterio and Escobar.
During the build-up for Backlash earlier in the year, Bad Bunny also aligned with the group to take on Judgment Day. Therefore, if Raquel Rodriguez were to join the faction, LWO could benefit from a new member. Rodriguez can also benefit from the new addition to her character.
Raquel Rodriguez set to take revenge on Rhea Ripley and Nia Jax
On a recent episode of Monday Night Raw, it was revealed that Rhea Ripley will have to defend her title in a fatal five-way match at Crown Jewel. She will have to defend her title against Nia Jax, Raquel Rodriguez, Zoey Stark, and Shayna Baszler. Each competitor has their motive for winning the title. Rodriguez was taken out of action by Rhea Ripley a few months ago with her tag team partner Liv Morgan.
In the following month, when she returned from her injury, Nia Jax took her out for a few weeks. Therefore, Rodriguez has a clear motive to take on both Ripley and Jax. At Crown Jewel, Ripley has a mammoth task of defending her title against four other competitors.
Therefore, fans will have to see if Ripley can find a solution to the problem or if she fails to retain her title. Her rivalry with Rodriguez goes back a long time, as the two have also clashed a few times during their time in NXT. With the added stacks of the championship, the women will likely produce a must-watch performance.
