Just when the fans thought The Bloodline story had reached its end, Roman Reigns pulled out another shocker. He faced Jey Uso in the main event of SummerSlam in a Tribal Combat match. Reigns showed once again why he has been a champion for over three years, as he has a plan for every challenge he might face.
Roman Reigns dominated the majority of the match, but Jey Uso managed to get some shots in, which were enough to take Reigns to his limit. Solo Sikoa joined the fray for some time as he and Jey fought in the audience, where the latter got beaten up. Solo and Roman then brought the Main Event Uso to the ring, trying to end the match there. However, the egos clashed again as Roman and Solo had a small staredown.
Jey Uso capitalized on this and took both men down, putting Solo through a table. He also speared Roman Reigns and hit him with an Usos splash. Just as he was about to pin Reigns and win the match, someone came into the ring and pulled Jey out of the ring.
Jey was shocked to see that it was none other than his twin brother Jimmy Uso who stopped him from winning. Watch the video to see what happened in the final moments of the main event of SummerSlam:
Jimmy Uso then shockingly super kicked Jey and took him down. He then put him in the ring again as Roman Reigns pinned him clean for a victory. Thus, Roman retained his title and the status of Tribal Chief. Fans were shocked by the betrayal and went silent as Roman Reigns went back to the ring with his title.
What lies ahead for Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso after SummerSlam?
The WWE Universe has been shocked ever since Jimmy Uso turned on his twin in the main event of SummerSlam. However, the next question that fans have been asking is, What happens to the members of the Bloodline now? It will be interesting to watch how WWE progresses the storyline now that the brothers have broken up and are now against each other.
Jimmy Uso was the one to turn on Roman Reigns at the Night of Champions. Therefore, it cannot be said for sure if his turning on Jey Uso was on Roman’s orders. Additionally, the twins had also shown interest in getting into a singles feud with each other before they retired. Therefore, it looks like that could happen now, and WWE could take it to WrestleMania.
Fans will have to wait for the next episode of Friday Night SmackDown to get more details from The Usos, as their curiosity has grown tenfold. It is expected that they will move on from the Roman Reigns feud now, thus freeing Reigns to face someone else for the upcoming PLEs.
