The Women’s World Champion, Rhea Ripley, has sat on the throne of the women’s roster for nearly a year now. Winning the 2023 Royal Rumble and securing the prestigious title at WrestleMania 39 made her a megastar. Now that a year has passed in her dominant reign, Ripley is heading into WrestleMania 40 as the champ to defend her title against The Man Becky Lynch. As soon as the match was made official, she broke her silence about it in a digital exclusive interview at the Elimination Chamber backstage.
The Eradicator lauded every woman in the Chamber match who was a possible opponent for her. Ripley stated that she observed the match very closely and claimed that they indeed put up a fantastic fight. Heading into Mania with Lynch as her opponent had been on her bucket list for quite a while. The 27-year-old stated that she had knocked off every Horsewoman and Becky was the last of them remaining.

Ripley recalled that the last time she stepped into the ring with her was back in NXT, which did not even end well. The interruption of Shayna Baszler made the match a no-contest, leaving their business unfinished. Thus, a deciding bout at The Grandest Stage of Them All sounds very fitting to her.

Rhea Ripley expresses her Elimination Chamber 2024 wholesome experience
The Eradicator Rhea Ripley had her wholesome moment in front of her people at the Elimination Chamber. The World Women’s Champion not only retained her title but also headlined the Australian PLE. After her match and heartful celebration, Ripley expressed her experience backstage.

Rhea stated that the moment is hard to put into words after soaking in the reaction and family’s presence. In the additional time that she had to celebrate her victory while standing tall in the ring, she was taken back to her last match in Australia.

She remembers sitting in the middle of the ring and letting in the wholesome reactions from the crowd. Ripley purposely let them affect her to have a flashback of those memories. Rhea claimed to hate getting teary on camera, even though she stated how wholesome the moment was for her.
