The past few months have witnessed many more new titles than the last few years. The trend started with WWE announcing the new World Heavyweight Championship on the April 24th episode of RAW with Triple H. The motive was to introduce a new world title on RAW, as both world titles were on SmackDown. A tournament was announced to crown the first-ever World Heavyweight Champion, which was eventually won by Seth Rollins.

Since winning the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 38, Roman Reigns has had a tight grip on both titles. The titles were known together as the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. WWE decided to merge both belts into one, giving it the same name. The new merged title with a golden design was introduced on the June 2 episode of SmackDown and was handed to The Tribal Chief.

Since WWE Draft 2023, there has been a lot of ambiguity around the women’s titles. But WWE resolved the dispute when it introduced a new title for Asuka. The June 9 episode of SmackDown saw The Empress of Tomorrow receive the new WWE Women’s Title from Adam Pearce. The RAW Women’s Championship has been discarded and replaced by the WWE Women’s Championship.

But the question remains about Rhea Ripley‘s fate as she is placed on the RAW roster and holds the SmackDown Women’s Championship. WWE will possibly hand over a new title to The Eradicator on the Red Brand. As Asuka holds the WWE Women’s Title, Rhea’s title could be named as Women’s World Championship. The titles could be simply addressed as either a WWE title or a World title, ending the brand association with the championships.

Over the course of a few weeks, the WWE Universe has witnessed new titles being unveiled. It seems like WWE could be ending the brand’s association with all the titles. Asuka received the new WWE Women’s Championship on SmackDown. As a result, the RAW Women’s Title was retired, laying the groundwork for detaching the brand’s name from titles.

It is speculated that Rhea Ripley will also be getting a new title on RAW, discarding her SmackDown Women’s Title. Therefore, the singles titles that superstars hold on the main roster won’t state their brand anymore. WWE’s plan could lead to ending the brand split and keeping the shows intact with non-branded titles.

If this situation arises, then the plan would possibly include the unification of tag team titles for both divisions. Women’s Tag Team Titles of WWE and NXT are now set to unify in two weeks on SmackDown. And if this continues, the possible next step will be unifying the men’s tag team titles. And that would be an easy task, as both titles are held by the same team of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.
