Dominik Mysterio won back the NXT: North American title on Tuesday night. Aside from emerging victorious, he avoided the wrath of his on-screen partner, Rhea Ripley, and seemingly saved his spot in The Judgment Day. Evidently, the post-match celebration showed the popular couple celebrating with joy. Afterwards, Ripley reacted to the win, showing her elation for Dom.

“My MAN!!! And NEW North American Champion @DomMysterio35!!” wrote the Eradicator on her X account. The stakes couldn’t have been higher for Dominik Mysterio in his match against Trick Williams. After all, “Mami” was not at all pleased with the 26-year-old for losing his championship at No Mercy and gave him an ultimatum. Furthermore, this meant that a member of Judgment Day was missing a title.

However, the third-generation superstar reclaimed the North American title with the help of the faction and JD McDonagh. Therefore, he reasserts his place on Judgment Day and saves his relationship with Rhea Ripley. As expected, many members of the WWE Universe were left surprised as Trick lost the belt just three days after winning it.

Fans believed that the tension in the storyline between Dominik and Rhea would last longer. Nevertheless, it seems that the bold move by backstage officials might be related to next week’s episode of NXT. The Gold brand will collide with AEW Dynamite in what promises to be an enthralling head-to-head battle.

Rhea Ripley was reportedly not scheduled to return on RAW

Rhea Ripley made her return during the most recent episode of RAW. After Nia Jax’s return a few weeks ago, an injury sidelined the Women’s World Champion. Therefore, the show began with a chaotic brawl involving Rhea Ripley, Nia Jax, Raquel Rodriguez, and Shayna Baszler.

Afterward, she called out The Judgment Day and berated Dominik Mysterio for losing the NXT North American Championship. According to Fightful Select, Rhea Ripley did not plan to return to RAW. Despite that, the Eradicator was backstage at the show, meaning that there was no intention behind keeping the return a secret.

The Judgment Day member will seemingly defend her title in a Fatal-4-Way in the near future. Moreover, she might appear at the upcoming PLE, Fastlane, to support her teammates, Finn Balor and Damian Priest. The duo will defend the Undisputed Tag Team Championships against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso.
