Rhea Ripley appeared on NXT’s premium live event, The Great American Bash. She played a vital role in helping her on-screen partner, Dominik Mysterio, successfully defend his North American Championship. The Women’s World Champion also appeared in a backstage segment during the show.

Dragon Lee, a masked luchador in NXT, confronted Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley backstage. At first, the Judgment Day members mocked the 28-year-old by calling him a “wannabe” Rey Mysterio. The Mexican was quick to defend the Hall of Famer by implying that Rey is a legend.

Further, Dragon Lee asked the two superstars, “Do you know who I am?” Ripley responded to this and uttered, “Batman!” The clip of this segment went viral online as fans found the World Champion’s response hilarious. Rhea Ripley joined in on the fun as she later tweeted, “I know you are… Batman.” Obviously, Lee’s black mask prompted “Mami” to answer the question that way.

The interaction between Dragon Lee and Dominik Mysterio may not have been a random segment. Evidently, a storyline involving the Mexican wrestlers is probably on the cards. As previously reported by Ringside News, the Judgment Day will make regular appearances on the Yellow brand for the foreseeable future.

Rhea Ripley became a Grand Slam Champion at WrestleMania 39, defeating Charlotte Flair. There were high hopes for Ripley’s reign, as many in the WWE Universe knew the potential she carried. But fast forward to August, and it has been an underwhelming run so far.

She has had only two premium live event defenses, with one of them being a one-minute squash against Natalya at Night Of Champions. Since then, the Eradicator has been more involved with Dominik Mysterio’s feuds than focusing on the Women’s division, frustrating many fans.

The disappointment continued on this week’s Monday Night RAW as it was seemingly confirmed she would not defend her title at SummerSlam. It comes as a genuine shock to leave a World Champion away from one of the major PLEs of the year. Rhea Ripley had been feuding with Raquel Rodriguez for the past few weeks, leading many to believe a SummerSlam match was on the horizon.
