Jake Paul has been vocal about his desire to face high-profile opponents. And has been actively pursuing fights with professional boxers and mixed martial artists. Mike Tyson, on the other hand, has been retired from professional boxing for many years. But has recently returned to the ring for exhibition bouts. It’s unclear if Mike Tyson would be interested in having a match vs. Jake Paul or any other current professional boxer or combat sports athlete. Meanwhile, WWE Hall of Famer, Ric Flair also expressed his views on the potential match.
During his appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast recently, The Nature Boy had a discussion with Joe Rogan regarding the current YouTube and social media stars competing in a fight. Ric started off by appreciating Logan Paul for his impressive athleticism and high-flying abilities.
Later on, they began talking about Jake Paul as well. Rogan stated that Jake, being a YouTuber, had proven that he can fight, referring to his fight with Tommy Fury. Meanwhile, Flair interrupted Rogan to address the rumors circulating about a potential match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul. Ric also warned Jake before challenging Tyson.
Ric Flair said, “I’ll tell you one thing he(Jake Paul) doesn’t wanna do is fight Mike, he wants to fight Mike I think. No, Why? I don’t give a f*ck if he’s 55, that’s still Mike Tyson[Joe Rogan replied]. [Ric further said] Mike’s in good shape too, he trains everyday. You don’t wanna fight Mike”.

Will Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul happen somewhere down the line?
The rumors of Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul began circulating after Jake’s comments on the legend. When Jake was asked who is the greatest boxer of all time, he took his own name. He was also asked whether he would fight Mike Tyson if challenged, to which he replied “100%”.
Later Mike Tyson reacted to the challenge on the JRE podcast, keeping his calm and saying it was pretty cool. People also thought it was insulting for Jake Paul to throw the name of such a legend, but Tyson wasn’t affected at all.
It’s important to note that any potential matchup between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson would depend on a variety of factors. Including their respective schedules, willingness to compete, and potential financial incentives.
