It would not be wrong to say that Ric Flair is one of the greatest to step in a WWE ring. The Nature Boy has always been up with his charisma and in-ring talent which has been appreciated by many from time to time. Though the former 16-time world champion had issues with WWE over his daughter’s booking and both parted ways since then. But now when the Hall of Famer is fighting his last match on July 31, it seems like everything is fine between the company and The Nature Boy.
Flair had been teasing the last match since long before it was finally revealed that the 16-time world champion would team up with his son-in-law Andrade El Idolo to take on the team of Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett. The match will take place at the Municipal Auditorium in Nashville on July 31 just a night after WWE Summerslam goes off. Fans and wrestling observers are looking forward to the match, as 75-year-old Flair hasn’t fought in a squared circle for a long time now.

Steve Austin comments on Ric Flair’s last match
And with this being his last match, Flair would look out to deliver his best as well. Though many showed concerns over his health, but some people also feel confident that Flair’s match would be great. One of them is WWE Hall Of Famer Stone Cold ‘Steve’ Austin. While speaking to Bill Apter, Austin said that he thinks Ric Flair’s last match would turn out great and he is pretty confident about the match.
“Well, it’s gonna be his final match, so I guess he’s in the mood to have one more go and to prove he was the man,” Austin explained. “I’ve said before, I think he was the greatest traveling world champion that there ever was. There’s a reason he had the belt as many times as he did because he was that damn good. He lived the lifestyle on the road to the nth degree, let’s say.” Austin told in an interview.
He also said that he holds Flair in the highest regard with the utmost respect and said he is really looking forward to the match. “For him to have his final match, I wish him nothing but the best. I hold him in the highest regard and have the highest respect for him,” he continued. “I’m behind everything he does in the ring. So, I look forward to seeing it.” Austin said he regrets that he’ll not be in person to see the match but he wishes the best for The Nature Boy. Flair’s daughter “Charlotte Flair’ will also attend his father’s last match, as The Nature Boy bids a farewell to his nearly 50-year-long career.
