“He likes it more,” Ricochet comments on his dignified relationship with Triple H

Ricochet defies gravity and not everyone is capable of that. Over the years, he’s made a name for himself doing those breathtaking stunts at ease. Back during NXT’s Black & Gold era, he was one of its prime staples. Being a former NXT North American Champion in his own right, a certain entity banked on himself, and that was none other than Triple H.
What many believe is an absolute truth, Hunter handpicked Ricochet as one of his personal projects to reclaim. The talent well was there, however, it just needed to get channeled in an appropriate direction. As a result, creative got behind Ricochet and he received a significant push on NXT. By getting some feathers on his side, the Highlight of the Night eventually became a fan-favorite.
His fast-paced wrestling ability spread like a forest fire amongst the WWE Universe. Even after arriving on the main roster, he didn’t apply brakes. However, following an initial boost, his showcasing fell drastically under Vince McMahon. But, as of late since Triple H took over as creative lead, Ricochet has once again revitalized himself. He once again feels like a big deal on television and moves better than he ever has. During a recent interview with Stephanie Chase, the former Intercontinental Champion described his relationship with Hunter.
“I think ever since even my ‘NXT’ days, and probably before that, Triple H has always been a pretty decent fan of mine,” Ricochet said. “He likes what I do and appreciates it. Not only that, but he likes the style as well, and maybe for him specifically, he likes it more. Either way, [our] relationship has been pretty good since day one. We’ve always been pretty open as far as communication goes, and if I ever have an idea or anything, I can talk to him about it.”

Ricochet has qualified for this year’s Royal Rumble match
In 4 days, Ricochet will have a chance to win the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble match. A spot for which he had to beat Top Dolla, a few weeks back, he won’t take it for granted. As a matter of fact, the daredevil antics of Ricochet are perfectly matched for Royal Rumble matches. He can hang in there for long, owing to his ever-lasting stamina and endurance.
Prior to this, the Human Highlight Reel was involved in a brief rivalry with Gunther over the Intercontinental Championship. After winning the first-ever SmackDown World Cup on Fox, the former United States Champion unlocked an opportunity to ultimately challenge The Ring General over that prestigious strap.
The day came on the December 16th edition of the blue brand when David and Goliath collided. In a classic wrestling clinic that reflected pure NXT-level quality, Gunther took some flesh off Ricochet’s frame, thanks to the champion’s unforgiving chops. Eventually, Gunther emerged victorious, putting down Ricochet for good.
