The spectacular event in Saudi Arabia witnessed one of the gargantuan matches in its main event in 2018. Fifty superstars participated in what is called the biggest and greatest Royal Rumble match in the history of WWE. However, it was Braun Strowman who surmounted the odds and emerged victorious in the match. The 39-year-old displayed unfathomable resilience, eventually winning the main event.
While speaking on the “Oh You Didn’t Know” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg cited some interesting anecdotes about the event. The WWE HOF further stated the underlying aspects behind it. He said that the company had plans to make him the winner since the legendary Luchador had returned after a long hiatus. However, he also mentioned that WWE was more fanatical towards Braun Strowman. The HOF said that the company was “pushing him as a big monster,” and therefore they handpicked him to win the match.
As a result, Strowman went on to pull off the impossible, creating history in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The Greatest Royal Rumble will forever remain in the pages of history. It was a truly monumental event for the superstars as well as the WWE officials. Not only has it transcended time and left a massive footprint on Saudi Arabia.
