Matt Riddle is often the subject of memes among fans online referencing his drug use. As a matter of fact, he was let go from the UFC due to testing positive for cannabis. Recently, Rob Van Dam revealed that he smoked weed with Riddle before his professional wrestling days. RVD himself is notoriously known for being accustomed to that habit.
During an interview with Denise Salcedo of Fightful, he was asked whether he had smoked with anyone famous during his career. The WWE Hall of Famer mentioned Matt Riddle. Furthermore, he stated that it was during the latter’s UFC days and fighting in the Ultimate Fighter series.
“I met him at a marijuana advocating party at the Playboy Mansion and smoked with him in the grotto,” added RVD. He specified using a small pipe with a little straw in it while smoking with the Original Bro. Finally, the legend referred to the experience as random and cool.
Rob Van Dam’s experiences with drugs have been well documented throughout his career. Recently, Teddy Long revealed that he used to get high with him. However, this has also led to the ECW legend getting suspended during his peak in 2006, while he was WWE Champion.

Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle have formed a new tag team
The recent episode of RAW saw a new tag team form. Matt Riddle challenged the Viking Raiders and asked Drew McIntyre to team up with him. Initially, the latter looked hesitant but he ended up accepting Riddle’s invitation and defeated their opponents.
Fans have compared the new bromance with Riddle’s previous one with Randy Orton. RK-Bro was a popular faction before the Viper was unfortunately sidelined with an injury. Ringside News reported on the entire angle and has confirmed with sources that the new tag team won’t be going in the direction of RK-Bro.
Instead, backstage officials are waiting for the return of the former world champion. Furthermore, they revealed his return will happen near the end of the year. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how things play out between Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle until that happens.
