The Rivalry between Reigns and Brock Lesnar began back in 2015, when Roman Reigns won the Royal Rumble 2015. Reigns even put his no. 1 contendership on the line at Fastlane against Daniel Bryan but was successful in defeating him and fixed his spot to face Lesnar at the WrestleMania 31. Roman faced Brock at WrestleMania 31 for the first time but none of them won as Rollins cashed in his MITB contract and defeated both Lesnar and Reigns to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship for the first time in his career.

Since their first encounter, Roman and Brock Lesnar have together been a part of 7 matches and each of them have won 3. They have faced each other in Four singles, Two Triple Threats and one Fatal Four-way match.

Their recent match was at WrestleMania 38, where Roman Reigns won in a winner takes all match. He Unified both the Universal and WWE Championships to become the Undisputed WWE Champion. Both of them are slated to face each other at SummerSlam on July 30th in a Last Man Standing Match. While many have speculated this to be their final face off, Dave Meltzer doesn’t think so.

Dave has said that they have been told that this won’t be the final time the two will face, Dave said that WWE told them that what if they need this scenario again due to an injury or some other situation, just like Orton has been sidelined now due to injury and that they have called Lesnar because it will be a big show for them.

”There has been a promotional push of this match as a last time ever meeting between the two, but we are told that they don’t think that’s official because what if we need it again due to an injury situation or another situation where they have someone fall out of a match like Orton did here and Lesnar is called because it’s such a big show.”

SummerSlam will take place on July 30th at the Nissan Stadium, Nashville, Tennese.
