SummerSlam was supposed to see the culmination of The Bloodline’s storyline. The battle of Ula Fala started with Roman Reigns manhandling Jey Uso. However, the latter soon fought back and used a kendo stick to his advantage. Soon after, the Main Event Uso covered the ring with a pile of steel chairs, only to end up being powerbombed over them.

Roman Reigns then landed on a table on the outside, as Jey Uso delivered a Samoan Drop. As both men decided to take their fight into the WWE Universe, Solo Sikoa ambushed the Main Event Jey from behind. Sikoa carried his brother’s corpus-like frame to the ringside area for Reigns. However, The Tribal Chief accidentally took out Solo when he was about to spear Jey Uso.

And, just when Jey was about to put away Reigns, a mysterious man in a hoodie pulled Jey out just before the three count. To everyone’s surprise, it turned out to be Jimmy Uso. The entire stadium was shocked at the sight. Jimmy then superkicked his own brother Jey and left him in the ring. Roman Reigns speared Jey through the table to retain his Championship.

The heel turn by Jimmy Uso totally came out of the blue. However, it’s going to be the prime focus of SmackDown moving forward. As for Reigns, it will be very interesting to see where he goes from here. It’s unlikely that either of The Usos will go after Reigns. For what it’s worth, The Bloodline’s saga isn’t over. In fact, it just opened up a new chapter.

Undoubtedly, the ending to Roman vs. Jey was controversial, rather against the notion of the fans. Everyone in attendance was chanting, “F**k you Jimmy.” The disappointment on their faces was so palpable, and it’s even worse on social media. Almost everyone is complaining about that allegedly pointless finish.

Now, it’s possible that Roman Reigns would go on a slight break. That said, Jey and Jimmy are going to carry the baton. With tensions set to escalate in the coming weeks, the real brothers might have a one-on-one match at Payback. Following that, fans would probably know what’s in store for the imminent future of The Bloodline.
