When you look around in WWE and want to figure out who has evolved the most in the past few years, you just can’t can’t look further than Roman Reigns. This man has transformed himself into a crazily loved guy who was once booed out of the arenas for portraying babyface gimmick that was just not hitting anyone. Actually, we can’t point out Reigns for that purpose in any capacity as Vince McMahon wanted him to be their next John Cena and carry the company forward pretty much similar to what the Cenation Leader did back in his prime.
Ever since returning to WWE from the prolonged Covid hiatus, Roman Reigns has just been unstoppable and in no mood of slowing down the car when it comes to losing his prestige and credibility on television. Every passing day he gets more stronger and elevates his character to new levels by adding fine layers to it. Roman is about to complete 800 days as the World Champion and there have been only four men more rightfully legends who’ve held that title more than The Tribal Chief in terms of combined number of days and they were Bruno Sammartino, Pedra Marales, Hulk Hogan and Bob Backlund.
The Head of the Table recently revealed during an interview with Sports Illustrated Media podcast that he’s indeed signed with WWE under a whole new different contract, a deal which allows him to work fewer dates than prior and which basically lightens up his schedule. Ever since Wrestlemania 38, Reigns has been working that way and basically confirmed about this recently.
“The main thing is, no, we’re not going to be on every single pay-per-view, but anything that I am on, which will be all the major ones and a couple of the other ones that fall in-between the big four and the Saudis. I’ll always support those with TV to build the story and rivalry going forward. Compared to what I did, technically, compared to a full-time, on everything, you only get a day and a half a week, yeah, it’s part-time compared to what I usually run. I’m an annual character on WWE television.”
Roman Reigns set for a Defining battle against Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle
In less than two weeks time, the United Kingdom will witness it’s first stadium WWE event in over 30 years from the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. The card is almost set and by the looks of it, we are in for a treat on September 3rd. One of the most exciting matches on the entire show include Gunther vs. Sheamus for the Intercontinental Championship which is majorly believed to be the dark horse for that night.
The main-event of the show reads Roman Reigns defending his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against The Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre. This could be the toughest challenge Reigns has met so far during his record-setting title reign. Although, Reigns is still the favourite to retain his championship, Drew McIntyre could end his run as WWE is internally planning to spilt up those titles to ensure one full-time World Champion on their TV.
