Potential new member of Bloodline (via WWE)
The Bloodline saga in WWE is a long-running storyline that has captivated audiences for the past few years. With the recent addition of The Rock to the faction, the power and influence of the Bloodline have reached new heights. Now, Roman Reigns is rumored to potentially add another member to the faction, none other than NJPW star Tama Tonga.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, there are strong indications that Tama Tonga is heading to WWE. While his exact role is uncertain, it is highly probable that he could become part of the Bloodline storyline, as he is considered family by the current members of the faction. Tonga had been in talks with WWE about a year ago, and now that he is no longer with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, his debut in WWE could be imminent. However, specific details, such as his start date, are still unknown.
Tama Tonga is not a direct member of the Samoan Anoa’i family, despite his father, Haku, having teamed with Tama, the brother of Rikishi, in the early days of WWF. Their tag team, known as The Islanders, achieved recognition during that time. Interestingly, The Rock has expressed familial sentiments towards Haku, referring to him as his uncle, and has also acknowledged Tama Tonga as his cousin in an interview.
He’s on his way. Don’t know the role. Very likely, at some point, could be part of the Bloodline situation because he’s considered family by all those guys. So if they need somebody new, it could be him. A year ago, he had been talking with WWE. I don’t know a start date or anything but he’s done in New Japan, so in theory he should be starting pretty soon.

The addition of Tonga to the Bloodline would be a significant boost for the faction. His tenure in the Bullet Club, arguably one of the biggest factions in wrestling history, has honed his skills and strategic mindset, making him a valuable asset to any group. With his experience, Tonga could elevate the Bloodline to new heights.
Potential other options for Tama Tonga in WWE
Tama Tonga’s connection with multiple WWE stars outside of the company runs deep, largely due to his tenure in the Bullet Club. He shares a significant history with Finn Balor, the first leader of the Bullet Club, as they were among the founding members of the faction alongside Bad Luck Fale and Karl Anderson. This shared history opens up intriguing possibilities, such as the potential for Tonga to align with Balor and The Judgment Day.
Tonga could also align with AJ Styles, who has recently turned heel and made a significant impact by attacking LA Knight at Elimination Chamber. Both Styles and Tonga share a deep history, stemming from their time together in the Bullet Club. This shared background could lead to a compelling alliance between the two superstars.
Another potential option for Tama Tonga is to join the NXT roster, where he could reunite with his old friends Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, The Good Brothers, who recently returned to NXT. Together, they could create their own new faction within NXT, leveraging their chemistry and history in the Bullet Club. This faction could make a significant impact in NXT and potentially pave the way for a transition to the main roster.
