Since losing her SmackDown Women’s Championship in December, Ronda Rousey has not been seen on television. After multiple fan quests and boredom, WWE decided to pull the trigger and snubbed Rousey over that strap. However, it doesn’t mean the company is blank over the WrestleMania plans for their top star.
In fact, that will be a championship match. That being said, it’s for the Women’s tag team titles. According to the Wrestling Observer Radio, the creative has seized Damage CTRL’s opponents for Showcase of the Immortals. As per the current plan, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler will be the ones to challenge Bayley’s faction in Los Angeles.
The build to this anticipated bout is yet to get underway. However, one might assume that it’s almost time to jump the guns. With The Grandest Spectacle almost 60 days away, the creative is hellbent to start progressing the major storylines. Till now, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY has enjoyed their stay at the top without any hiccup. That all can change with the blink of an eye.

Has Ronda Rousey passed her peak in WWE?

For quite a while now, The Arm Collector has been dragged for her lackluster attitude towards professional wrestling. Many diehards consider Rousey as an outsider who’s trying to get the spotlight on her. This propaganda started when The Rowdy One started to get pale with her on-screen presence.
Her latest run as the SmackDown Women’s Champion has already faced a plethora of criticism. As known, Ronda Rousey was called out for being monotonous with her promos and less caring attitude. Back in 2019, the Baddest Woman on the Planet was a different breed.
Her short but fierce saga with Becky Lynch will be remembered for ages to come. Also, it’s quite possible that this match would never be in the cards moving forward. This truly falls in line with Ronda Rousey’s continuously falling stock in WWE. At one point in her UFC career, she was ruling the kingdom according to her own ways.
Even though the current lack of interest in her, Rousey’s impressive resume speaks for herself. Needless to say, the former UFC Bantam Champion has lived her peak in WWE. It’s time for other homegrown women to prosper under the supposed guidance of Ronda Rousey.
