During a talk session in her gym, Ronda Rousey revealed how she suffered before making it to the WWE. Ronda Rousey had a par excellence career at UFC. She was continuing her winning streak of 12 – 0 until Holly Holm arrived in the scenario. This loss took a toll on her. She did not appear in the ring for about a year. It was probably her worst defeat in her professional career. To make the matters worse, she suffered another defeat from Amanda Nunes which compelled her to quit MMA.

The scar of these defeats was so deep that Ronda often felt suicidal. During her dark days, she would cry and isolate herself. Her husband Travis Browne was always there for her. He allowed her to vent out her emotions and held her close. He took care of her for two long years. Ronda Rousey also said that she knows she couldn’t have handled it all alone.

Ronda has become more powerful and stronger after that phase. “There’s a lot of things you have to remember. Every missed opportunity is a blessing in disguise. I had to learn from experience. From the worst things, the best things have come as a result. Time is a great teacher. It’s that belief that time passes, even bad times,” said Rousey.

Her winning streak had taken her to cloud nine. She did not realize what a loss could do to her. Not just the battles within, but she also fought the so-called fans who mercilessly hit her with embarrassing questions. She has now learnt to answer them too. Ronda Rousey has evolved as a person over the years. No one will believe if this Ronda Rousey who appears on WWE is the same Rousey who disappeared for a year after her loss.
