Ronda Rousey last competed for WWE at SummerSlam 2023 in a loss against her best friend, Shayna Baszler. The Baddest Woman on the Planet’s run in the Stamford-based promotion was polarizing, as she struggled in half of it. Amid the ongoing Vince McMahon lawsuit, Rousey has made a revelation about the former chairman and how he is still ‘running’ things behind the scenes.
On her X account, the former Women’s Champion implied that Bruce Prichard is McMahon’s right-hand man. Moreover, as long as he is around in WWE, the 78-year-old will always have a hand in the business. Ronda Rousey claimed that Vince was giving his input in creative matters through Prichard despite the former’s resignation.
Bruce Prichard is basically Vince’s avatar, if he’s still around Vince still has a hand in the business. Vince was still running things through Bruce when he was “gone” before.Ronda Rousey on Bruce Pritchard (via X)
Bruce Prichard has been a backstage producer for WWE for the past few years or so. Whenever McMahon would be absent from shows, the former manager ran things behind-the-scenes. However, many were puzzled as to why he stuck around after Vince’s initial retirement in July 2022. Bruce seemingly regained his position with the same powers off-screen, while Paul Levesque, better known as Triple H, took over as CCO.
Ronda Rousey’s comment has many speculating whether Prichard was aware of the alleged ongoings of Vince McMahon. Rumors spread after the latter’s resignation that TKO would remove anyone linked to the founder of WWE. It will be interesting to see whether Bruce is one of the names that may be on the verge of following his Boss out the door.
Natalya commented on the allegations leveled against Vince McMahon
The sexual harassment lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon sent shockwaves around the wrestling industry. The horrific details and vile accusations put a ‘dark cloud’ over the Royal Rumble PLE. Wrestlers were specifically asked to focus on the event during the media interviews. However, Natalya was one of the few who gave her opinion on it.
While speaking with the Orlando Sentinel, the Queen of Harts mentioned that she read and saw what everybody else did. Despite that, the best thing that the female locker room, in particular, can do is nothing but move forward. Evidently, the former Women’s Champion gave a vague response to the allegations.
Nia Jax gave a similar response in a separate interview, which can be checked out here. Needless to say, the superstars will comment on the situation along the same lines if asked in the foreseeable future.
