Ronda Rousey in WWE
This week on SmackDown Ronda Rousey won the fatal five-way match for the no 1 contender match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at the Extreme Rules Live event. Ronda Rousey defeated Natalya, Lacey Evans, Xia Li and Sonya Deville to seal her spot for the no 1 contender for the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Liv Morgan. After weeks of getting suspended and attacking a security guard, Ronda Rousey is finally satisfied and calm with her win in the fatal five-way match.
Ronda Rousey last fought for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at the SummerSlam, where the ending was dubbed as controversial as she had claimed that Liv Morgan had tapped out before the referee counted to three. Liv Morgan had argued that she had tapped out after the referee counted to three. Ronda Rousey then attacked the Referee and was suspended thereafter but continued to visit the SmackDown, also getting arrested once.
Ronda Rousey returned to WWE this year at the Royal Rumble and won the event. She fought Charlotte Flair at the WrestleMania 38 but lost the match. Rousey won the championship from flair at the WrestleMania Backlash live event and lost the belt to Liv Morgan at MITB when the latter cashed in her contract.
Recently during a streaming of the game Rogue legacy 2, one of the viewers asked Ronda Rousey about her favorite WWE match since her return to the company. Ronda stated that her greatest bout since her comeback was the “I Quit” match versus Charlotte Flair, and she stated that she had fun with the kendo sticks and that it was entirely her idea.
“Honestly, I think it was the ‘I Quit’ match with Charlotte, because I got to bust out the double kendo sticks and act like I was a Jedi for two seconds,” Rousey said. “I can’t believe they let me do that. That was 100% my idea.”

During her appearance on DC Check in June of this year, Ronda Rousey had revealed to Daniel Cormier that she was about to return as a heel in the WWE but then Vince McMahon said that she is a babyface. Rousey stated that she did a heel interview following her comeback and informed everyone that she would be appearing as a heel next Monday, but the WWE creative stated that she needed to smile and quit acting like the baddest woman. She admitted that she didn’t enjoy the concept of becoming a babyface at first but afterwards felt OK with it.
