WWE Superstar LA Knight is once again receiving huge cheers and pops from the fans. LA Knight wrestled Former WWE United Kingdom Champion, Butch (aka Pete Dunne) in a dark match.

The two men squared-off at the 5th May episode of SmackDown held in Puerto Rico. The match was not a televised match. It was for the live audience at the venue. LA Knight received huge pops from fans during his entrance and during the match.

Fans have been loving LA Knight’s character lately. Although a heel initially, his career track recently saw a change. He got the fans invested with him so much that he is currently receiving some of the biggest pops on the roster.

Many are inspired by his incredible in-ring ability and unique mic skills. The pops that he received during his dark match are a clear indicator that fans love to see him. It is also a signal for WWE to give him opportunities.

It is being rumored that LA Knight is one of the favorites to win the upcoming Money in the Bank 2023 match. If Knight wins the match, it would be a great boost for his career and would finally pave the way in making him a big star.

LA Knight’s WWE Run so-far in brief

To the surprise of many, LA Knight has been a part of WWE since 2008. He was a part of dark ECW segments. During the period from 2011 to 2014, he was involved in some non-televised NXT matches. LA had defeated Yoshi Tatsu in one of the matches. However, he was involved in losing effort against Baron Corbin, and Mojo Rawley.

LA would then return to NXT in 2021. He also feuded with the likes of Cameron Grimes and Gunther on the show. Knight entered the main roster in April 2022. Knight would form the stable ‘Knight Model Management’ alongside Mace and Mansoor. He also underwent a name as Max Dupri during that point of time.

Knight would then turn on the group in September 2022 to pursue his run as LA Knight. He then feuded with the likes of Ricochet and Bray Wyatt. LA Knight continues to be a part of SmackDown after the 2023 WWE Draft.
