One would be lying if he/she admits that the way Kevin Owens walked away from Sami Zayn on this week wasn’t disheartening. In fact, that segment kept everyone hooked throughout it’s entirety. The Honorary Hab tried to mend the fences with his former best friend in Ottawa to kick-off Raw. Owens pulled out Zayn from the bitter clutches of The Bloodline at the Elimination Chamber. He took out everyone including Roman Reigns to prevent any further damage on Canada’s favorite son.

That night might’ve melted Sami Zayn’s heart once again for Kevin Owens. Despite of the courageous save, the Prizefighter never hugged out Zayn in the middle of that ring. To overcome that feeling, the Master Strategist called out Owens on Raw this Monday. Although he confronted the Syrian wrestler, Owens was just visibly upset. He insisted that he’d never forget what Sami did to him while he was a part of The Bloodline. After aiming some hard reality checks on Sami, K.O left the ring.

Instead of getting that emotional bury the hatchet moment, fans were left emotional. However, that segment received heavy props for being purely storyline-driven. It makes all the sense in this world to play this out slowly. Of course, Sami should make Owens to start believing in him once again. Well, speaking on what went down this week, Sami Zayn turned candid in an exclusive interview with WWE digital.

“There are hurt feelings…definitely on his side,” Zayn admitted. “I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t complicated on my side. I just recognize the situation here. Look, for better or for worse, we needed each other our whole careers — to lift each other up. Even when we were on the opposite side of the fence, we always brought out the best in each other. We were always able to accomplish things because of the other’s existence.”

One day or the other, Kevin & Sami will hug it out in the ring. That’s for sure. However, that journey till the ultimate payoff would be satisfying. Plus, WWE plans them to have a significant spot on this year’s WrestleMania card. Considering Sami Zayn’s unreal popularity right now, that comes by no surprise. Indeed Triple H knows the worth of these Canadian Brothers and will do everything in his power to treat them with justice.

That being said, as of writing, Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens are internally slated to challenge The Usos for those Tag Team titles at WrestleMania this year. This could possibly serve as the main-event of Saturday’s half. If happens, this happens to be the biggest tag-team match in decades, in terms of storytelling and in-ring potential involved.
