Sami Zayn reveals the original plans WWE had for him before joining The Bloodline
Sami Zayn in WWE
Sami Zayn is one of the most talented WWE wrestlers of all time. Zayn is currently doing some of the best work of his career in the WWE, and fans adore him as the Honorary Uce. Zayn was always a good in-ring worker, but now he has also proved that he can be exceptional on the mic as well. Through his humorous promos and segments as a member of the group, Zayn has increased the appeal of the bloodline.
Zayn might not be having a great time pursuing the championships in the WWE, having failed to win the MITB contract as well as the No. 1 contender match for the Intercontinental Championship in recent times. Nevertheless, he is having a great time being a part of the Bloodline and might have some plans of his own as he is considered to be one of the smartest superstars of the current generation.
Sami Zayn was initially simply a Bloodline associate, but Roman Reigns officially dubbed Sami an Honorary Uce on SmackDown on September 23 and presented him with a new shirt, which has the words “Honorary Uce” on it. Recently on RAW, Matt Riddle challenged Roman Reigns to a match, but Sami Zayn responded by challenging Matt Riddle to a singles contest.
Jimmy Uso, who was at ringside with his brother Jey, tried to assist Zayn as Riddle seized control of what had appeared to be a close bout, but Jey stopped him. After that, Matt Riddle defeated Sami Zayn with an RKO to claim the victory.
Sami Zayn says that the initial idea for him by WWE was to just lend support to Roman Reigns
During a recent appearance on WWE Deutschland, Sami Zayn claimed that joining the bloodline was not the initial plan for him and that instead, WWE wanted him to check in with Roman Reigns and that Roman would keep an eye on him. When the moment was appropriate, Zayn said he would have aided Roman Reigns.
“The initial idea wasn’t necessarily to join the Bloodline cause I didn’t even think that was possible. It’s the Bloodline, you’ll have to be blood, right? So the idea would’ve been to have sorta on-screen relationship where I’m checking in with him and he’s checking in with me. And I can help him out when the time is right.”
Sami Zayn has stated that The Bloodline has helped him restore his respect and credibility, which had taken a hit after losing to Johnny Knoxville at WrestleMania.
