“Taking a step backward,” Sami Zayn comments on the return of his old theme music
Even though Sami Zayn is down to bringing his old theme back just for one night, he thinks it's permanent resurrection would be a major step backward.

Sami Zayn is probably at the pinnacle of his WWE career at the moment. Ever since betraying The Bloodline and cracking Roman Reigns in the back, the Master Strategist has established himself as the number 2 babyface in WWE. Ranking slightly above him is the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes, who’s set to challenge Zayn’s Elimination Chamber opponent at WrestleMania, as of writing.
Speaking of Chamber, the night in Montreal will be headlined by Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn. The Tribal Chief will defend his gold against his former Honorary Uce. The stage is set and banners are out. Wrestling in his backyard on next Saturday will certainly feel special for Sami Zayn. The crowd support will be unreal for the Syrian wrestler and without a hitch of doubt, they’ll be as hostile as they can get for The Tribal Chief.
Now that Zayn has finally attained his well-deserved main-event status and he’s officially a nice guy once again, everyone just wants his old theme back. The only misfit in Sami’s current presentation is the remixed version of Worlds Apart. Many believe that WWE has spoiled such an impressive theme and they badly want it to make a comeback. Speaking on The Sick podcast, the Canada born wrestler shared his own views on the matter.
“I mean, if it were going to come back, I feel like that would be the time in place to do it. I’ve said this in other interviews. I feel like it would kind of be taking a step backward. I think maybe a new song is in the cards, but I feel like that song, even though people have a real fondness for it, it seems. From a character’s perspective, it just feels like taking a step backward. At the same time, doing it for like a one-night thing in Montreal might be cool.”

Sami Zayn and Jey Uso reunited on this week’s SmackDown

For the first time since Royal Rumble, Sami-Uso was seen on WWE television last night. Just when Jey was about to leave the Mohegan Sun Arena, Zayn caught him in the parking lot. After a moment of natural hesitation and silence, the former Intercontinental Champion embraced the Right Hand Man. Moreover, Sami thanked main-event Jey for his actions at the Rumble.
Before leaving, Zayn tried to get a fist bump from Reigns’ cousin, and even succeeded in his intentions. Honestly, the segment was done to explain the prevailing nature of relationship between the two. Fans were satisfied after their brief interaction and concluded how artfully Jey Uso got manipulated by the Bloodline’s former member.
But, do not be mistaken. These small altercations will play a huge role in determining the future of this emmy-deserving story. Rumors are floating around how Jey will be the one to cost Sami Zayn at Elimination Chamber. However, given The Usos’ entry ban in Canada, that doesn’t seem like happening.
