Saraya is one of the most talented female wrestlers of the current generation. Saraya made her AEW debut in September and has since been approved medically to wrestle again. On the October 5th edition of AEW Dynamite, she was involved in a physical altercation with Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., which marked the first time that Saraya was involved in a physical fight since 2017.

Saraya’s WWE contract was terminated in July of this year, and she has been working in backstage duties for the company since 2018 after suffering a neck injury at a live show in 2017. The incident happened during a six-woman tag match when Sasha Banks kicked Saraya in the back of the neck, causing her to suffer an impact injury.

Saraya talked about the incident on a recent visit to Talk is Jericho. She claimed that her neck snapped as if she had been in a car accident, and that being paralyzed for a few minutes was the most horrific experience.

Despite realizing she was finished, she claimed she didn’t weep. Saraya said that Bayley, Sasha Banks, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, and Mickie James were all sobbing after she lay paralysed in the ring.

“And then I was like paralyzed for like a couple of minutes, which is the most terrifying thing.โ€ฆ…I look over and I see Sasha [Banks], Bayley and there’s Mickie James and everyone. They were just crying. I look at Mandy and Sonya, and they were crying,”

Saraya acknowledged in the same chat with Jericho that her final years in the WWE were quite gloomy. She stated that Road Dogg would pamper her at all times and informed her that she would no longer be the GM and that she should deliver a farewell speech as a GM, which she thought was really lovely.

The former WWE Divas Champion was involved in some roles even after she discontinued being the GM of SmackDown. She oversaw the Kabuki warriors and even contributed to the WWE Studio. Her appearances decreased when the pandemic began, and she departed the WWE in July of this year.

She claimed that she ended up staying at her house for three to four years, which she described as the most dismal aspect of her life since she felt absolutely worthless. She said she was obligated not to do anything since she was bound by the contract, and even if she were an independent contractor, she would still have to obtain authorization to do things, which would eventually be denied.
