“Anything that will remind people of me“ – Late WWE Hall of Famer permitted Damian Priest to copy his signature move

WWE superstar Damian Priest recently revealed something interesting about his fighting style. The wrestling organization, over the years, has seen some of the greatest signature moves. These moves help differentiate the champions from legends. For instance, who can ever forget The Undertaker’s tombstone or Batista’s Batista Bomb?

Similarly, there was another move that took the WWE Universe by storm. Yes, we are talking about the late, great Scott Hall, a.k.a. Razor Ramon, whose move was called “Razor’s Edge.” In most cases, no superstar would want others to copy their signature moves. But that was not the case with Scott Hall.

Recently, it has been revealed that Razor Ramon had permitted Damian Priest to use the WWE Hall of Famer’s signature move. In the interview, Damian also asserted that Hall had played an instrumental role in helping the former WWE United States Champion develop as an in-ring fighter.

During the interview, Priest stated, “[Scott Hall] was just as cool as the character, I’ll tell you that much,” Priest said. “… one of my idols and he’s giving me advice, sitting down with me, watching my matches, you know, pointing out stuff and trying to make it better, and then me asking him, ‘Would it be cool if I did the walk and the, you know, the Razor’s Edge?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah, man!’ He goes, ‘Anything that will remind people of me’.”

Currently, Damian Priest is a member of The Judgment Day. His teammates include Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley. Over the years, Priest has been seen multiple times using the Razor’s Edge move inside the ring.

The WWE Universe can’t thank Scott Hall enough for allowing Priest to use his signature style. But it’s too late as Scott passed away this year on March 14, following three heart attacks. The four-time Intercontinental Champion had significantly impacted the professional wrestling entertainment industry. But he had to deal with addiction related issues throughout his lifetime.
