With everything going smoothly for Seth Rollins in 2022, it appears that the start of 2023 hasn’t gone well for him. The Visionary, who has been in rivalry with Austin Theory for quite a while now, got injured during their encounter on the January 2nd edition of RAW. The match was a classic, with Rollins defeated at the event.

Both wrestlers displayed great chemistry with each other in the match. It was an entertaining and competitive fight, and the crowd loved every moment of it. Towards the end of the match, Seth Rollins appeared to have injured his knee. Immediately after the conclusion of the match, the referee called for help with the indication of the ‘X’ sign.

After-match footage shows Rollins limping and being helped to walk by commentator Corey Graves. After the injury, Rollins broke his silence by posting a three-word message to the WWE Universe. He wrote, “Redesign. Rebuild. Reclaim.” Rollins hurt the same knee in 2015, and to encourage his comeback, he utilized the same three-word statement.

With that being said, the injury seems legitimate. However, there is still no confirmation from him or the WWE in regards to the nature of the injury. In November 2015, The Visionary tore his ACL, MCL, and medial meniscus during a WWE live event in Dublin, Ireland.

Rollins was forced to vacate his WWE Championship, and he was out of action for six months. He returned to WWE on May 22nd at the Extreme Rules PLE and initiated a rivalry with Roman Reigns. At the Money in the Bank PLE in June, he became the WWE Champion for the second time in his career.

If the current case is similar to that of 2015, fans may not see the visionary competing at WrestleMania 39. As of now, fans can only pray and hope that the injury isn’t serious and that Rollins returns to action very soon.
