This afternoon in Jeddah, a new champion was born. After a gut-wrenching battle against AJ Styles, ‘The Visionary’ Seth Rollins has done it. He’s the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion and would take this title exclusively to Monday nights. Shortly after Triple H introduced that gold mentioned above on Raw in Chicago, Rollins made his intentions regarding the same pretty clear. Battling through a tournament, Rollins and Styles made it to the finals here at Night of Champions.
The match began on a traditional note. Both superstars basked in the glory of a roaring Jeddah crowd. Seemingly non-focused to begin with, Rollins received a beautiful drop-kick from Styles. For a while, AJ dominated the match. Filled with unique offenses, in the beginning, that clash pushed the goalpost even further. In a cool spot, Rollins cleverly drove Styles’ face first into the turnbuckle.
Also, the Phenomenal One delivered a snap-suplex hard in the corner. Rollins raised his shoulder up barely after the reverse DDT earlier on. Displaying cat-like agility, Rollins hopped on the ropes, planting Styles with an Avalanche Reverse Suplex followed by that Emerald Flowsion. Despite the breathtaking combination, the OC leader survived. Even after that, Styles collected himself to deliver a Brainbuster on the apron.
While soaring through a suicide dive on Styles, the Architect tweaked his left knee. Capitalizing on the same, AJ locked in the calf-crusher on his opponent. Even that wasn’t enough to keep Seth down. Just when Styles was mid-air through his Phenomenal Forearm maneuver, Rollins caught him with a superkick. Despite a vulnerable knee, The Visionary showed valor and stomped AJ’s head on the mat. The referee did the rest and Seth Rollins captured the brand-new World Heavyweight Title. After the match, WWE CCO Triple H presented the Big Gold to its rightful owner.

WWE fans overjoyed with Seth Rollins’ victory, a new era to begin on Monday Night Raw
Beginning this Monday on Raw in Albany, a new era will kick-off. The absence of a World Title on the red brand has been a void since Roman Reigns unified both titles at WrestleMania 38. But now, it’s no more of a cry. Even though Rollins has been filming Captain America lately, he’ll be back soon. That being said, a door of unending opportunities opens up automatically. Below are some of the best fan reactions describing Rollins’ historic triumph.
The next premium-live-event stop for WWE is Money in the Bank. For sure, Seth Rollins will defend his World Title at the marquee event in London. Now, the questions start to arise. Who’s going to be the first major opponent for Rollins? In what very well could be a possibility, a returning Drew McIntyre with his old heel gimmick would be a fun rivalry to kick-off Rollins’ reign.
