Seth Rollins is currently sitting at the top of the hierarchy in WWE. He recently won the newly introduced WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions, defeating AJ Styles. WWE fans all around the world praised their match and called it an epic bout. This was Rollins’ first major title win in four years.
The Visionary recently appeared on the latest episode of Raw as he celebrated his title win along with the WWE Universe. The fans applauded and welcomed him with huge enthusiasm. However, the highlight of his segment was a dig he took at Roman Reigns. Rollins went on to mock the Tribal Chief, saying that Reigns has become a part time champion in WWE.
Seth Rollins wasn’t reluctant to take a jab at his former Shield brother. Rollins said that Roman Reigns does not appear on SmackDown every week and only fights at pay-per-views. Contrary to Reigns, he announced himself as the people’s champion. He proved his point further on the same day when he competed in a match.
The 37-year-old teamed up with AJ Styles and fought Damian Priest and Finn Balor of the Judgment Day. He showed why champions need to wrestle every week and give opportunities to other WWE superstars. Moreover, Rollins mentioned that he would defend his title around the globe, anytime, anywhere.
Earlier, Seth Rollins claimed that he loved Roman Reigns as a person but he didn’t like him as a champion. Furthermore, he added that his ego has poisoned him and that he is taking all opportunities from other WWE superstars. The World Heavyweight Championship ensured that he would provide opportunities to the superstars every week, putting his title on the line.
Seth Rollins’ first opponent likely to be Brock Lesnar
Seth Rollins recently won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions. However, WWE has yet to reveal the first challenger for Seth’s title. There are a lot of potential superstars on Raw who can step up. Seth Rollins will definitely be a part of Money in the Bank and will defend his title.
According to Dave Meltzer, Brock Lesnar could be the one next in line for the Visionary. Although, Cody Rhodes did challenge Lesnar recently for a rematch after his loss at Night of Champions, the Beast has yet to accept it.
Furthermore, Wrestling Observer Dave Meltzer stated that Lesnar and Cody’s storyline is not yet done. But he is definitely going to fight Seth in the future maybe in London or Detroit. The Beast Incarnate already had an amazing rivalry with Seth Rollins in the past. Therefore, it would be interesting to see how the storyline proceeds in the future.
