Seth Rollins all set for his first US Title Defence against Arch Rival on Monday Night RAW

When Matt Riddle had beaten Seth Rollins at The Extreme Rules in a Fight Pit Match, many had thought that the rivalry between the two had finally been extinguished. But it seems like the iconic rivalry between the two is still not over. Matt Riddle had recently said that he wants to inflict some serious damage on Rollins.

Many had speculated that since Seth Rollins was challenging Bobby Lashley for the title he might be put in a feud with him. But the plans quickly changed with the arrival of The Beast Brock Lesnar, who not only confronted Lashley in a surprising return on The Season Premiere of RAW but also viciously attacked him just before the title defense.

This gave Seth Rollins an advantage over Lashley, who then went on to successfully capture the title. This was Rollins’ first title win after 2019, and thus it only makes sense to keep him as a fighting Champion.

Riddle, who has been a prime rival for Rollins for months now, has earned an opportunity to challenge The Visionary for a shot at his US Title. The match was officially announced on Friday Night SmackDown’s 14th October edition.

This means that The Original Bro will now take on Seth Rollins on Monday Night RAW for the United States Championship. Though it is unlikely that Rollins will lose the title so early after being able to win it after such a long time.

But, if he does then Riddle can grant him one of the biggest upsets of his career and this could mark the end to their rivalry. But we’ll have to wait for Monday Night RAW to find out whether Rollins will be able to retain his Championship or not.

The heated rivalry between the two has crossed all the limits to say the least. Both have gone absolutely berserk and have made personal remarks as well making this rivalry extremely personal.

To those who are unaware, Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle had a real life heat at a point of time after an incident including their wives and Rollins had said that he would never work with Riddle again but then the things between the two eventually sorted out.

But, WWE saw it as a golden opportunity to turn this into an on-screen rivalry and both the superstars have not disappointed to say the least. The character work, the storytelling and matches have been well-worked to build a real tension in the atmosphere.
