Seth Rollins finally breaks silence after Shinsuke Nakamura turned heel and attacked him on RAW
Shinsuke Nakamura turned heel last week after delivering a 'kinshasa' on Seth Rollins and now the latter has finally reacted to it.
Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura
Shinsuke Nakamura blindsided Seth Rollins this week on RAW following the main event. He teamed with the World Heavyweight Champion and Cody Rhodes against the Judgment Day. However, after the match, he delivered a ‘kinshasa’ on his partner and slid out of the ring. Seth Rollins finally broke his silence following the turmoil on RAW.
Originally, Sami Zayn was scheduled to team up with Rollins and Rhodes. However, an attack by JD McDonagh backstage rendered him unable to compete due to a shoulder injury. Nakamura offered to help the duo even though he had fought a match the same night against Bronson Reed. Clearly, it was a setup to attack the Visionary post-match.
Fans were intrigued to find out the King of Strong Style’s explanation as to why he did it. WWE posted a preview of tonight’s Monday Night RAW with the caption asking the question, “Why Shinsuke Why?!” World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has also demanded answers from the veteran, as he replied to the tweet, saying, “Do tell”.
The two wrestlers have fought twice at previous premium live events. The first time was at Survivor Series 2018, in a Champion vs. Champion bout, where Rollins picked up the victory. Moreover, their second encounter saw the same result, as the former Shield member once again defeated Shinsuke Nakamura at Fastlane 2021.
Eric Bischoff calls Seth Rollins a ‘big time player’
Seth Rollins is currently one of the biggest stars in the professional wrestling industry. He has achieved everything there is to achieve and is often lauded by most fans and critics for his reliability in the ring. However, Eric Bischoff didn’t see what was special about the Beast Slayer in 2019.
Speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, he revealed that when he worked with him backstage as a producer, he never viewed him as a ‘big-time player’. The former WCW owner was in charge of RAW for a brief period in that year. Four years later, he admitted he was wrong about the current World Heavyweight Champion. “Clearly, I was wrong. He is a big-time player, and he is amazingly talented,” claimed Bischoff.
He went on to praise the 37-year-old for his selflessness and ability to work outside his comfort zone. Furthermore, he compared him to one of the all-time greats, Shawn Michaels. Of course, this realization came after Seth defeated Finn Balor in a stellar match at SummerSlam for his championship.
