Monday Night Raw witnessed a segment between the Visionary and the Modern-Day Maharaja, where the conclusion achieved was the setting up of the World Heavyweight Title Match on this week’s Raw. Since then, Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins has been quite vocal about the incoming challenge and he just delivered another message for the fans of Jinder Mahal.
WWE’s Instagram handle recently posted an entrance video of Rollins at a live event. As usual, the World Heavyweight Champion looked elated as the crowd sang his song. It is then that he sees the cameraman and decides to deliver a warning in the most playful way possible.
Tonight and tomorrow, I gotta hinder Jinder, baby! I'm so sorry!Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins to Jinder Mahal
The Visionary looked excited for his match at the live show and stated how tomorrow, he’ll have to put an end to the hopes of Jinder Mahal. Using the iconic catchphrase coined by the fans online, Rollins not only boasted his knowledge of the fan colloquial but even went ahead to seemingly trigger Mahal in one of the most unique manners possible.
Meanwhile, 2024 has indeed been a good year for Mahal so far. He not only started the year by sharing the ring with The Rock but went on to get a Title shot. While it was just another opportunity offered on the part of Rollins, it seems the Internet took a great interest in this rivalry. With Mahal becoming a topic of inter-promotional warfare, fans are eager to see whether he’ll be able to capitalize on this opportunity or not.
Vince Russo criticizes Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins’ promo on Raw
The wrestling community seems to be in general agreement over how Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins is presenting one of his strongest gimmicks. Entering the arena while guffawing his heart out can be scintillating to his fans and irritating to his opponents. WWE Veteran, Vince Russo recently stated on Legion of RAW how Rollins wasted a lot of time in delivering his promo.
It's just such a waste of time. We understand you're the trendsetter, the revolutionary. We got that, we understand. I can't stand it. Listen, man, I don't know Seth Rollins, I'm talking about Seth Rollins, the character. I am not a fan of this guy at all.Vince Russo on Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins
It seems the Veteran remains critical of the self-validating traits of Rollins’ character. Often, his promos go around how his calculating prowess allows him to overcome any adversaries. Russo looks forward to the time when Rollins would get straight to the business rather than generating cheers from the crowd.
While such an analysis often draws hatred from the fans of the concerned superstar, there seems to be some weight in his criticism. Previously, fans have seen the Great One occupy a great portion of his Raw Day One promo. Thanks to his stature, the criticism generated remained hidden in murmurs. However, it did reflect the general problem that lies in these situations, as evoked by Russo.
