Shawn Michaels and Triple H are two of the biggest names in the wrestling business. They won so many championships together and from each other during their legendary careers. After retirement, Hunter became the creative head of both main roster shows. Moreover, HBK took the NXT brand under his wing. Both are doing a very good job and are getting appreciation from the fans.
Shawn expressed his feelings about NXT and explained why it is the best two-hour show today. HBK attended a media call before the NXT exclusive event, NXT: Deadline, and regarded his show as the best two-hour show in wrestling today. He explained that the audience can resonate with his show, and there’s a lot of variety in the roster; every superstar is involved in some kind of storyline, thus giving them an equal chance to shine and make NXT the best show.
Our show moves very fast. I think that's something that resonates with the audience. I'll also say it's a variety show, it's sports entertainment. We have something for everybody- That's why I say we're the best two-hour wrestling television show on TV today because we have so much variety.Shawn Michales before NXT Deadline
WWE as a whole is winning the rating wars right now against the rival company, AEW. NXT’s latest episode drew 629k views, and SmackDown’s latest episode drew 2.044 million views. But HBK’s statement can ignite some internal concerns between the two leaders and best friends, thus leading to a war between them to prove which show is the best in the future.
Shawn Michales addresses the dynamic between CM Punk and Seth Rollins
CM Punk made his long-awaited return to WWE at Survivor Series after nine long years. Although fans were happy to see him back, the current World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, was heavily upset. Now, WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michales has addressed the issue between the company’s two most popular stars.
In an interview with Busted Open Radio, HBK said that he understands Rollins’ frustrations, even if he does not show that outside. He further added that Seth felt the anger because he is a full-time fighting champion, and despite that, Punk took the spot as a bigger draw instead of him. He also said these kinds of frustrations are common, and he is fortunate enough to understand this because he has also lived through all of the phases.
You want to become that top guy and then you become that top guy and then you see these other people sort of come in and you go, 'Jesus, part-timers' and 'taking spots,' and stuff like that, and that one day you get the point where you go,' I still want to work, but I don't want to be working all the time,' and then all of a sudden now you are the part-timer. I understand it on everyone's level.Shawn Michaels on CM Punk and Seth Rolins via Busted Open Radio
Michaels ended his explanation by saying that in the end, it all comes down to what’s best for business. Fans believe that it is all part of the storyline and hope they both collide soon. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see whether they will meet each other in the ring at WrestleMania.
