This week on SmackDown, the WWE Universe saw Shayna Baszler face Natalya in a singles match. She defeated The Queen of Harts by making her submit to the kirifuda clutch. Baszler was accompanied by Ronda Rousey to the match, with whom she has formed an alliance. Rousey prompted Shayna to kick Natalya in the face after the bout, and the Queen of Spades then kicked Natalya in the nose, causing her to bleed profusely.
Natalya and Shayna Baszler had been teaming with each other prior to Baszler’s betrayal on the October 28th edition of SmackDown. Thereafter, later that night, they were involved in a singles match, where Natalya was defeated.
After yesterday’s brutal kick to Natalya’s face, Shayna Baszler thereafter appeared on SmackDown Exclusive and spoke about the reason she betrayed her former tag team partner. Baszler said that everyone around her should know her worth, and Natalya too needed to be reminded of who Shayna Baszler is. She stated that Natalya is annoying and annoys everyone, including her.
“it seems to me that everyone around here has forgotten what I am capable of, including me. ……That’s all I was. And if we are being honest, Natty annoys everyone, including me,”

What does Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey’s union indicate?

Shayna Baszler fought for the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Liv Morgan at the Clash at the Castle but failed to win the Championship. She had qualified to face Morgan for the championship by winning the gauntlet match on an edition of SmackDown.
This was a chance that Baszler had got after a long time; her first chance to win the Women’s Championship was at WrestleMania 36 against Becky Lynch, where she failed to win the Championship.
Shayna Baszler wasn’t given many chances after her loss to Lynch at WrestleMania. She mostly competed as a tag team specialist thereafter and won the tag team championship twice with Nia Jax.
Baszler, being the two-time NXT Women’s Champion, definitely has the potential to be a main eventer and become a Women’s Champion one day. It would be interesting to see what’s next for her as she has now formed an alliance with Ronda Rousey. Many speculate that she would eventually betray Rousey and then fight for the Women’s Championship, but it wouldn’t be anytime soon and there would be a build-up to it.
Baszler and Rousey have been portrayed as good friends in the WWE, but in the end, Baszler too has her ambitions and wants to be on top. Rousey and Baszler haven’t fought against each other in a singles match, so if a rivalry between them happens in the future, we would get to see an intense showdown between the two former MMA fighters.
