This week’s episode of RAW followed the aftermath of last week’s SummerSlam. The show was stacked with some amazing segments and matches. However, the highlight of the show was what transpired in the main event of RAW. Shinsuke Nakamura shockingly attacked World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and turned heel.
Shinsuke Nakamura finally reacted for the first time after attacking Seth Rollins. He posted an image of a Katana, a Japanese style sword, in Twitter. However, it had no caption to give fans a clear answer to his action on RAW. The speculated answer to his action can be a quest for championship gold in WWE. He might have done that in order to get the attention of the Champion.
The main event of this week’s RAW was a six man tag team match between Judgment Day and the team of Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, and Sami Zayn. However, due to the attack by Judgment Day backstage, Sami was not cleared to compete. Following this, Shinsuke Nakamura stepped up to replace Sami.
The match was grueling, and after a physical battle, Seth, Nakamura, and Cody Rhodes came out victorious. While celebrating their win, Shinsuke takes the opportunity to attack the World Heavyweight Champion and leaves the ring with an exclamation mark. It is going to be interesting to see what Shinsuke has to say next week on RAW, along with Seth’s reaction to this attack.
What does this heel turn for Shinsuke Nakamura mean ?
Nakamura’s heel turn came out of nowhere this week on RAW. The Japanese superstar returned to the company after a long hiatus after WWE Draft 2023. Since then, he hasn’t been on the main roster and has been involved in random storylines. He was involved in a feud with Bronson Reed in which the fans did not show any interest.
This heel turn can rejuvenate Nakamura’s character and bring him into the spotlight on the main roster. The 43-year-old will likely begin a feud with Seth Rollins on RAW. They have the ability to deliver incredible matches against each other. It will be interesting to see what happens next week when Nakamura explains his actions.
