Sonya Deville recently gave an interview to Maria Menounos and talked about her wrestling journey. Deville explained how she transformed her trauma into success. She talked about the time when she first received an offer to work in the WWE, and she straight up called it “fake stuff.” However, she later signed with WWE and has been performing since then.

Sonya Deville added that, at first, she did not know much about WWE because she is from an MMA background. She said that she only knew a few names, like John Cena and The Rock. Deville even called WWE fake and said the fans knew it was scripted. But still, the 29-year-old did not hesitate a bit to accept the offer she received. She wanted to explore opportunities in the company.

Sonya Deville was very pessimistic and thought that she might not be able to sign with WWE. It was because that was a tryout between 17,000 other wrestlers around the world. She said that she just wanted to have a new experience and did not have too high expectations for the results. But she was surprised when WWE confirmed her signing and told her to move to the NXT developmental brand.
