“Never forget,” Summer Rae reacts to an old video of her kissing Roman Reigns
Summer Rae reacted with a three-word tweet on a video from FCW in 2012 where she had a brief interaction with Roman Reigns.
Summer Rae and Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns has been a WWE superstar for almost all of his pro wrestling career. Before making it to the biggest wrestling promotion, he worked with WWE’s promotional territory at the time, known as Florida Championship Wrestling. It was at this place that he was groomed for the future. Recently, a video started making rounds on the internet of Roman Reigns in one of his old gimmicks, accompanied by Summer Rae.
Recently, Wrestlelamia shared a video from the 2012 FCW on Twitter. In the video, Roman was in one of his old gimmicks known as “The Boss.” However, it was what happened before the promo that grabbed a certain female superstar’s attention. Summer Rae, who accompanied Roman, gave him a kiss on the cheek and then moved out of the ring. The woman herself responded to the video, saying, “Never forget, Leakee.” Many fans might not know, but ‘Leakee’ was the former ring name for Roman Reigns before he adopted his current moniker on the main roster.
Roman Reigns has come a long way from his days in FCW. The Samoan superstar went from being the powerhouse of the Shield to the Big Dog to the Tribal Chief in the span of a decade in WWE. Though there is no denying that his latest gimmick turned out to be the most successful.
The Head of the Table has been the top champion of WWE for nearly 900 days. Furthermore, Roman Reigns is going to headline his seventh WrestleMania this year. The Tribal Chief is just one away from tying Hulk Hogan’s record for the most WrestleMania main events. It is finally fulfilling to see Reigns connect with fans with his heel persona.
Summer Rae’s last appearance in WWE
After working in FCW, Summer Rae moved to WWE NXT as a ring announcer in 2013. She quickly advanced to an in-ring competitor in the developmental brand. The same year, she made her main roster debut as the dance partner of Fandango. She was mostly remembered for her managerial role in her initial days before she started competing on Raw.
After playing second fiddle to Fandango, Summer Rae moved on to have other feuds. She had on-screen romantic relationships with Rusev and Dolph Ziggler. Rae also had brief feuds with Paige, Emma, Lana, and others in the company. Her last appearance in WWE was at the 2022 women’s Royal Rumble match, where she returned to the company after getting released five years earlier.
Most of Summer Rae’s run has been lackluster; she has not even won a single title in her wrestling career. She worked on the independent circuit for quite some time before continuing modeling. The former WWE superstar occasionally reacts to wrestling angles on Twitter, but there don’t appear to be many signs that she will return to the company.
