As been the news for over a month now, Vince McMahon is hellbent on selling WWE. To add, no one will ever forget those pre-matured overnight rumors about WWE getting officially sold to Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. Wrestling journalism seriously got plundered following the incident, raising some questions over the extent of their credibility. Because at the end, they turned out completely false and WWE is yet not sold to any firm, as of writing.

Several top sources claimed that the Publicly traded company based in Stamford is seeking options from every corner. Later on, WWE’s Chief Executive Officer Nick Khan personally met with top execs of Disney and ESPN during a Monday night College Football game. Obviously that rang some bells for a while, however, it did not avail immediate results. With names like Comcast, Endeavor, Saudi Arabia’s PIF being the frontrunners to eventually buy up Vince McMahon’s multi-billion company, a deal is almost certain to happen. These negotiations can take months to complete.

Despite of such confidence in regards to a WWE sale, The Godfather thinks otherwise. While speaking to the Universal Studios podcast, the legendary wrestling figure refused to give attention for any such claims about WWE getting sold and joked how Vince McMahon is like Ric Flair, when it comes to this business. He mentioned how much VKM loves this thing. Citing no further reason to support his argument, former Papa Shango asserted that even though he doesn’t have any access to inside information, he can’t visualize WWE getting owned by someone else than Mr. McMahon.

“Vince is like Ric Flair, brother. He ain’t going to go away. Vince loves what he does. All the bullsh*t aside, he loves what he does, man. I don’t have [any] inside information … I just can’t see Vince selling.”

Vince McMahon’s return brought a tsunami within the company. Everyone became worried about getting back to usual Vince ways very soon. Moreover, the rejuvenation done by Triple H as the creative head was put in massive jeopardy, following McMahon decided to return to the Titan Towers. But, for a change, McMahon hasn’t been to any creative meetings as of now. Currently Triple H is running the creative and the majority WWE stakeholder has deferred the final say on Hunter, even if the 77-year old has a point.

Per backstage rumblings, Vinnie Mac is heavily focused on cracking a beneficial deal for his company. As been iterated previously too, WWE is scouting the most profitable agreement, on which Vince McMahon will put the stamp.

Also when Vince came back, his daughter Stephanie McMahon resigned with immediate effect. It was later revealed that Steph wasn’t no longer needed in that role following her dad’s return. That being said, she finally got her leave of absence approved, for which McMahon was clamoring from a long time.
