Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is perhaps the most-electrifying man in the sports entertainment industry. The Bhrama Bull is perhaps one of the greatest superstars in the wrestling industry. He was also a professional football player in his college days. The Rock started his career as a wrestler but has also achieved success in other realms of life as well. After having a successful career as a professional wrestler, The People’s Champ quickly went on to become the next Hollywood sensation and has been a part of many successful projects since then. Now, a new chapter is beginning for him as his daughter looks to make it big in WWE.
The Rock’s daughter Simone Johnson, recently made her debut in an NXT live event as “Ava Raine” and would also call herself “The Final Girl” giving her a new nickname. The fourth-generation superstar is expected to make an NXT debut soon after her first promo received a great response from wrestling fans around social media. One of the admirers was Ava’s father himself. The People’s Champ was in awe of her daughter as he showered praises on her.
The Rock praises her daughter, gives his best wishes
The Rock was speaking to ETOnline in an interview and said he is extremely proud of her daughter and is happy that she is independently pursuing her career without expecting anything from him. The Rock said- “She’s fourth, [generation], She’s made history. Very very proud of her.” Johnson added: “She is fiercely independent, It’s very important for her to make her own way. Blaze her own trail. Blaze her own path. She doesn’t come to me looking for a lot which I respect that. And I’m here watching and supporting.” (H/T: ETOnline)
Ava made her debut on an NXT live event in Florida held on the 9th of July. Though she didn’t have a match that night, she delivered a fiery promo, challenging Cora Jade and the rest of the NXT women’s division. The promo was well-received by wrestling critics, and fans around the world as they felt the same confidence in Ava that her father had. Nevertheless, she still has a long way to go and it would be interesting to see how the company utilizes her.
Ava is actually The Rock’s daughter from his first wife Dani Garcia, with whom he parted ways in 2007. In 2020, WWE announced that Ava had begun training in the Performance Center and since then fans around the world were waiting for her debut. The following appearance shows that she is ready and pumped up to carry the legendary lineage that her father has left behind her.
