Despite proclaiming himself to be “The Final Boss,” The Rock believes there is someone ahead of him in the pecking order. The Great One has announced that he will be inducting his late grandmother, Lia Maivia, into this year’s WWE Hall of Fame.
The People’s Champion broke the news on his social media accounts, revealing the final inductee of the 2024 class. In addition to that, Rocky termed the late Maivia not only a trailblazer but the real “Final Boss.” The Black Adam star also released a video of the real-life Bloodline member. For those who don’t know, Lia Maivia was one of the first female promoters in the wrestling business.
She is a pioneer of the industry who took over her husband and The Rock‘s grandfather, Peter Maivia‘s company, in Hawaii. When Peter was on his deathbed, Lia promised that she would make his dreams come true. As such, she ended up working alongside some of the biggest names in wrestling at the time while running the Polynesian Pacific Pro Wrestling promotion. Despite facing accusations of extortion, Lia was acquitted of all of her charges.

Many have cited her as the reason why the Anoa’i family ended up being arguably the biggest dynasty in wrestling. Needless to say, her place in the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame is more than deserved. Interestingly, Maivia won’t be the only Bloodline member going into the 2024 class. The faction’s Wiseman, Paul Heyman, will headline this year’s ceremony and will be inducted by The Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns.
A historic weekend lies in wait for The Rock and The Bloodline
After both Lia Maivia and Paul Heyman take their rightful place in the Hall of Fame, The Rock and Roman Reigns will turn their attention to proving why they are the most dominant faction in history. The Bloodline brothers will compete in the main event of WrestleMania Saturday
They will face Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in a tag team match with implications for the Night 2 main event. For weeks, the duo, more specifically The Final Boss, have hurled insults at their opponents. As a matter of fact, Rock has promised to dedicate his win to Rhodes’ mother.
If there was any doubt of a power struggle between the pair, it has been established that is not the case. On Raw, the two worked in unison to whip Rhodes and Rollins and stand tall to end the show. All in all, fans are excited to see how things play out this weekend and whether The Bloodline continues to assert their rule over the WWE.
