The NFL season for 2022 has begun. Football fans all across the world have waited for the same. The season kicked off on 8th September 2022. A wave of excitement ran through as Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson kicked off the event with his powerful introduction.
The Rock was massively involved with football. He initially dreamt of having a career as a footballer and hoped to play at national level. He was one of the best players at the school level. His performance won him a scholarship in the University of Miami.
His entrance to the University wasn’t progressive. Even after working hard for 4 consecutive years, Dwayne couldn’t make it to the top. His competitor Warren Sapp was always ahead of him. He remained unsold in the NFL Draft. His overall football career was not very impressive.
If we look back today, we realize that destiny had better plans for the superstars. It was after his failure at professional football that he thought of joining WWE which in turn welcomed him as a Hollywood megastar. Currently, Dwayne Johnson is one of the highest paid actors across the globe.
They say that childhood dreams are the most genuine ones and The Rock has proved it to be true. Despite the fact that he couldn’t make it to professional football, he did not lose his love for the sport. Today, he is the co-owner of the XFL. The XFL is a football league that shapes the players to play in the NFL.
