Cody Rhodes‘ WrestleMania main event against Roman Reigns was in jeopardy when The Rock returned to the WWE. Cody almost gave up his chance to finish the story by allowing The Great One to take his spot.

Fast forwarding to the recent WrestleMania Kickoff media event, and things got completely out of hand. The 51-year-old superstar turned heel and slapped Rhodes after the latter took back his spot in WrestleMania’s main event.

The Brahma Bull took to Instagram following his actions to address the fans. He asked the fans to enjoy the ride and understand his actions as a heel by referring to them as “friends”.

On SmackDown, Triple H addressed the action of The People’s Champion using muscle power to make decisions. The former claimed that he was still the authority and that all the answers came from the King of Kings. It sure was a direct shot to his old rival, the member of the board, The Rock. It will be interesting to see how the recently turned heel superstar responds to WWE’s COO.

Roman Reigns will defend his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes in a WrestleMania rematch. The dream match that seemed reality, of the two cousins going head-to-head is uncertain. With the WWE universe opting for Rhodes to try to finish his story, The Rock was forced to turn heel.

When The Rock attacked Cody Rhodes and sided with his blood, it was clear that the cousins stood together. The Bloodline has regained its momentum as The Rock has joined his family. On SmackDown this week, Paul Heyman name-dropped both Reigns and Rock returning next week. The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment is rejoining the brand he helped create for the time being.

The Wise Man warned Triple H about the return of the upgraded Bloodline next week. Triple H added that he is looking forward to it. It will be interesting to see how things will unfold since the heated argument they had at the WrestleMania kickoff media event. It seems the Cerebral Assassin will make sure to give the best welcome to the cousins after their media event antics.

While some star power is lacking at WrestleMania with Brock Lesnar and CM Punk out, Rocky will most certainly be a part of the show since he has been advertised on the poster. Only time will tell where he will end up considering the valuable time and schedule he cleared to return.
