Since The Rock returned to WWE, he has brought the heat through his heel persona. Although fans loved all the appearances of The Great One on the road to WrestleMania, it looks like his fiery promo was not well received by TKO management.

The Brahma Bull joined the TKO group of directors and became an authoritative figure in the company. TKO management wanted things to be TV-PG so all the younger audience could enjoy the show. They expected him to be the leader who could run things by example but broke a major rule.

Rocky has not held back from dropping F-bombs on both Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins as part of their build-up to WrestleMania 40. Not only that, but The Rock has been relentless during his in-ring promos on SmackDown. For instance, this past Friday, the Hollywood actor dissed Rhodes, saying his parents regretted being on drugs and using cheap condoms.

The 51-year-old legend last wrestled at WrestleMania 32 against Erick Rowan in a singles match that lasted only six seconds. Now, after eight years, he will battle alongside Roman Reigns against the duo of Rhodes and Rollins. If they win, then Rhodes’ world title match against the Tribal Chief will be Bloodline-free. However, if they lose, it will be stipulated in the Bloodline Rules, where anything goes.

The Rock is set to make history at WrestleMania XL

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is set to make history at WrestleMania 40, as he will fight Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins alongside Roman Reigns in a tag team match. After this match, he will only become the second wrestler in WWE history to win the main event at WrestleMania in four decades.

In 1999, Rocky met his fierce rival Stone Cold Steve Austin in the main event of WrestleMania 15, but Austin got the better of him. Two years later, they met again in WrestleMania 17’s main event. The result did not change, however, as Austin shook hands with the devil and defeated The Great One.

Then he returned in 2012 to have a match with John Cena in the main event of WrestleMania 28, which he ended up winning. Even though they named the tagline “Once in a lifetime,”  the two legends met once again next year at WrestleMania 29, only this time Cena took the win.

And now, in 2024, he will be in the main event of WrestleMania 40, where he will fight alongside Reigns against the duo of Rhodes and Rollins. The only man to achieve this feat before Rocky was the legendary Undertaker.
