If anything, no one would’ve had The Rock sporting his iconic $500 Versace vest on their bucket list in 2024. But that’s exactly how The Great One emerged on SmackDown this week. He officially tied the knot with Roman Reigns and the rest of The Bloodline. Not only that, The Brahma Bull, sounding more like himself from 1998 and less like Dwayne Johnson, warned Cody Rhodes of doing everything in his power to divest him of his moment at WrestleMania XL.

For once, The Rock congratulated the state of Utah for a record-breaking outing last night. However, he immediately reminded the people that it was the biggest gathering of trailer park trash he had ever seen. The Bloodline, just like the audience, saw the wrestler-turned-actor going heavy on the sold-out crowd. As expected, The Brahma Bull embraced his heel turn and blamed the fans for squandering an opportunity to witness him square off against Roman Reigns in the biggest WrestleMania main event of all time.

Rock referenced the #WeWantCody movement and called out the self-coined crybabies. He completely ran through Cody’s story and asked the fans if it had any logic. Dwayne quoted the Super Bowl LVlll runner-ups, the San Francisco 49ers, going down but getting right back up like some real men.

Johnson also iterated how Michael Jordan crushed the Utah Jazz‘s dream back in the day, but they moved on too, unlike Rhodes, as the Hollywood actor implied. Rock said Cody’s rematch claim is undeserving. Interestingly, the Black Adam star never for once mentioned that The American Nightmare won consecutive Royal Rumble matches to earn the right to battle his cousin at WrestleMania.

What’s next for The Rock after siding with The Bloodline?

After last night’s segment on SmackDown, one would imagine how things would unfold. Back on Raw this week, Seth Rollins committed to Cody Rhodes for being his confederate in the Prodigal Son’s quest to glory against The Bloodline.

And now, as Rollins mentioned, the monster has two heads. One Roman, and two, The Rock. There are still some things that need to be made official. As of now, Rhodes and Reigns are set to collide in Philadelphia for the gold. However, as Rock mentioned on SmackDown, it’s not going to be straightforward.

There’s more to it. Dwayne Johnson’s WrestleMania role is yet to be confirmed. Many fans believe that he’s going to join forces with Roman Reigns to take on the duo of Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins on the first night of WrestleMania.
