WWE Fastlane is exactly a week away, and the match card has started to shape up. Last night on SmackDown, The Street Profits impressed Bobby Lashley after demolishing the duo of Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar after their match. After Rey retained the US title against his LWO brother cum protégé, they were about to shake hands. But before that, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins pulled Escobar’s leg out to the ringside area.

That followed a vicious beatdown as The Almighty made his way out and was all laughs. Earlier on, Lashley told The Street Profits to prove themselves if they wanted to continue their alliance with the former CEO of The Hurt Business. And guess what? The Profits did not disappoint. After that, a banged-up Rey Mysterio challenged the trio of Lashley, Ford, and Dawkins to a match. Now it’s been made official.

Rey Mysterio, Santos Escobar, and an unknown partner will take on Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits at Fastlane. The 6-man tag team match, announced on SmackDown Lowdown, has fans pumped up. Although the LWO has Joaquin Wilde and Cruz del Toro as options, it might be Dragon Lee, after all, who joins them as the third member.

Last night on SmackDown, Lee tried to intervene during an altercation but was stopped by security. Next week, he faces Austin Theory after their verbal exchange. Lee has gained exposure with a recent match against Dominik Mysterio on Raw and now a bout against Theory on SmackDown.

Is LA Knight finally getting to the main event at Fastlane?

In what would be John Cena‘s first match since WrestleMania 39, he’s got LA Knight by his side to take on the duo of Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. Last night on SmackDown, when Cena was once again in deep waters, The Megastar marked his return to a nuclear crowd reaction.

He ran down that aisle, entered the ring, and made quick work of Solo and Jimmy. The packed house in Sacramento exploded when he took that contract and signed it. That said, Knight is on course to headline his first premium live event in WWE.

Unless some major changes happen, the tag team showdown is likely to close the night at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Although Seth Rollins’ Last Man Standing match against Shinsuke Nakamura is a strong contender for that spot, there’s no way WWE would not book John Cena in the main event alongside LA Knight. What a huge night it’s going to be for the former Eli Drake!
