The latest edition of NXT was a fairly stacked affair, with several prominent stars appearing on the show, including The Undertaker. Although The Deadman wasn’t officially announced for the show, WWE subtly teased his appearance via video package. The Hall of Famer met his former arch-rival Shawn Michaels ahead of his appearance on NXT.

WWE NXT took to their social media to share a behind-the-scenes clip of HBK and Taker’s reunion after a long time. The Phenom knocked at Michaels’ office. The two legends instantly pulled each other into a congenial embrace. The friendly duo had quite an amusing chit-chat at their rendezvous.

The 58-year-old then asked HBK, “Hey man, what’s it take to get a job around here?” referring to his special appearance on the show. Moreover, The Undertaker proceeded to jokingly allude to a return match, saying, “I got my gear and everything.” Shawn Michaels hilariously responded to that, stating The Deadman won’t be getting any gear for the night.

In an appearance on Steve Austin’s The Broken Skull Sessions via Wrestling Inc., The Undertaker revealed he planned to confront Shawn Michaels if Michaels hadn’t agreed to lose to Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania 14. This match marked Austin’s victory, securing the WWE Championship and solidifying his rise in WWE.

The Phenom elaborated saying, “If business wasn’t gonna be done the way it was supposed to be, I was gonna take matters into my own hands, I was sitting in gorilla with my hands taped up, and it didn’t take long for people to figure out what I was doing there. I even told Vince about it.”

Furthermore, Undertaker added that he lied to Shawn Michaels when the latter asked him if he was genuinely planning to hit him. He explained he did so because the duo eventually became good friends over the years.
